This year we are thrilled to have been shortlisted for The International Design and Architecture Awards. These prestigious awards are hosted annually by Design et al, one of the UK’s leading interior design magazines. We have been shortlisted in the Glasshouse category with a recent project in Ireland. With only 12 projects for each category, the competition and quality of these projects are particularly high, emphasising the prestige of the event. This year’s event is particularly exciting as 2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the awards, and to celebrate this, the event will honour the Designer of the Decade in addition to the many other awards on the night.

What are the awards about?

The International Design and Architecture awards aim to ‘commend design, recognise talent, create opportunities and quite simply to offer inspiration.’ By bringing together the best professionals in the business to share their work and celebrate each other’s success, the awards promote the highest level of design and create a fantastic night of creativity and inspiration for the industry. The categories range from interior design schemes, kitchen design, table and fabrics to ski chalets and swimming pools. The awards are the largest of their kind in the UK and are the only awards that focus truly on the highest quality in the industry. For anyone with an interest in any kind of design these awards are a fantastic opportunity to get involved and gain some inspiration.

How are the awards chosen?

The Design and Architecture awards, like Design et al’s other awards, are voted for by the public from the shortlisted categories, rather than being chosen by a small panel of industry members. This is a brilliant aspect of the awards, as it creates opportunity for engagement by all design lovers no matter if they are a leading figure of the industry or just an enthusiast. Voting opens on the 21st August and closes on the 18th September.
