On the 20 September we joined 800 other guests at The International Design and Architecture Awards in London at The Grovesnor Hotel, hosted by design et al. The evening marked the 10th anniversary of these prestigious awards, celebrating the best in Architecture and Design from all over the world. We were thrilled to be shortlisted for the category of Architectural Glasshouse.
After much anticipation, we are proud to announce Marston & Langinger won the award for best Architectural Glasshouse at The International Design and Architecture Awards. Voted for by the public and leading industry professionals, our curved conservatory in Ireland came first in its category. With such high quality projects to compete against, it is a real honour for us to be recognised in such a vast and inspiring industry. We would like to say thank you to everyone who voted for us.
The project in Ireland was our most complex structure to date. The aluminium curved conservatory is modern yet classic and is in-keeping with the surrounding 18th Century property. Working closely with de Blacam and Meagher Architects the client wanted to create a place that family and guests could relax and enjoy. Once a desolate courtyard space, the north facing structure now opens out onto the grounds, capturing most of the natural light throughout the day. The exterior of the structure is powder-coated in a dark elegant colour, complemented by a rich and sophisticated interior scheme that has been carefully curated by Martyn Lawrence Bullard Design.
It was a wonderful evening, and we certainly hope to be able to attend again. A big thank you to everyone who voted for us.
