About Marston & Langinger

We design and build bespoke garden room structures that create exciting new living spaces; a transition between home and garden. We understand that a home extension is a big commitment, so it is important to us that we are entirely transparent with you.

In 2015, the Marston & Langinger name was acquired by Alitex to lead us into the future of conservatories with a beautiful aluminium alternative. Alitex are a family run company with an established history in designing and building beautiful aluminium glasshouses.

Our garden room structures are produced by Alitex Manufacturing in the heart of the South Downs on the Hampshire/Sussex border. Our expert team of designers are present throughout the structure’s journey, allowing us to employ the same rigid checks to the actual structure as we do to the initial design.

The History of Marston & Langinger

For over 40 years, Marston and Langinger built their reputation creating luxury wooden garden rooms with exquisite style. The driving force behind Marston & Langinger was its founder, Peter Marston, a man with an international reputation for fine interior design and a passion for gardens and architecture. Today, we continue to build with Marston’s theory in mind, offering a prestigious structure now in aluminium.

We have left behind the world of wooden conservatories to bring the future and sustainability of aluminium into your home. If you are a previous Marston & Langinger customer, we will be unable to assist in repairs to your structure. However, there are alternative options available, such as replicating and rebuilding your structure in aluminium.

Why have we chosen aluminium?

With new technologies, our team of experienced engineers design our garden rooms to the highest specification, ensuring the integrity of the structure, whilst retaining the classic wooden aesthetic. Aluminium allows us to powder coat your garden rooms to enhance the appearance, whilst also providing a durable finish and long lasting colour. There are many beneficial factors to using aluminium including thermally broken properties and being weather and moisture resistant – you can find out more here.

For us and industry professionals, aluminium is the obvious choice, not only are we able to create beautifully designed structures, but our buildings will stand the test of time whilst drastically reducing the ongoing burden of maintenance.
