An essential part of the house

We worked with our customers to design a conservatory which would provide the perfect solution to their shaded, north facing home in Hampshire.

Our customer wanted to increase light ingress whilst also extending their home to provide extra room for their large family. The house sits north facing on the lee of a hill, making it a barrier for light ingress. The Marston & Langinger conservatory has allowed for extra light and created a seamless transition between their home and the outdoors.

The family have also been able to reconsider the downstairs layout by extending corridors into rooms. The office/spare room has been moved into the adjacent building which has been renovated to include bifold (or stack) doors, reflecting the style of the conservatory for continuation from the home into the garden.

The conservatory is now an essential part of the house and its unlikely positioning on the north side of the property has worked well, brightening up every day regardless of the weather. The conservatory has bifold doors which lead into the garden and has proven to be the answer to the typical British weather.

“I think a conservatory is potentially quite a lifestyle changing space – it certainly has been for us”
