Enhancing the outdoor living space

Dual Colour: External in Downland Stone BS10B15 | Roof Lantern in Graphite Grey RAL 7016 | Internals in Woodsage RAL 7032

With an old and small conservatory, mainly made from brick, the customer wanted a structure that would let in lots of light and add space to their living environment.

The customer inherited a greenhouse from Marston & Langinger’s sister company, Alitex. They liked the idea of an aluminium frame with the wood-look and without the maintenance hassle. The customer also wanted a local firm, as the idea of a building project being project managed from further afield just didn’t sit right.

They chose to erect an orangery with a veranda attached. The structure required planning permission which Marston & Langinger managed. The Orangery is dual colour, with white on the exterior windows to blend with the render of the house and a dark grey roof lantern that beautifully contrasts. The interior is a soft sage colour to complement the design and create a calming living space.

They commented on the charming service and found the design team thorough. Despite quite a difficult winter during which to build, and endless challenges, the customer had confidence that the end structure would be good.

“The Orangery is great, light and airy and so far the temperature control is good. We are really delighted with the size and design.”
